TEnder Loving Care Community Closet

We welcome you to our free community clothes closet!
The Tender Loving Care Community Closet offers gently used and new clothing and personal care items free of charge to men, women, and children in need. The clothes closet supplies free of charge in connection with our mission "Caring for all by sharing God's love".
Days and times of operation:
Tuesdays 6 pm - 8 pm
Saturdays 9:00 am - 11:00 am
504 E. Diggins Street
Harvard, IL 60033
Please use the north entrance of the building on Blackman Street.
There are no requirements for eligibility.
Visitors can obtain up to 10 items/visit (This may change as inventory fluctuates).
Visitors can obtain limited pantry and personal care items/visit (No duplicate items)
No costs will be assessed to visitors.
Donations are greatly appreciated
We currently accept new and gently used children's, maternity, and adult clothing of all sizes.
NEW items:
Socks and underwear (in original packaging).
Self-care products, including diapers (infant, child, adult), feminine hygiene products (pads, tampons, etc.), soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, makeup, shampoo, etc. Travel sizes are also appreciated.
Shelf stable food items.
How to Volunteer
We certainly need Community Volunteers to help with receiving patrons and folding/sorting/hanging clothes. If you want somewhere to volunteer a few hours each month to help those in need, the Tender Loving Care Community Clothes Closet welcomes your presence and help. Volunteers need to go through an application process, which includes providing information, completing a background check, and having references checked. Upon return of the required information, you will be ready to begin!
